What Exactly Does Makeup Do to Your Skin?

What Exactly Does Makeup Do to Your Skin?

When you think of makeup, you probably think of enhancing your cheekbones, making your eyes pop, and evening out your skin tone.  And, yes, great makeup can do ALL of those things (and more!).

But it also does some other stuff to your skin -- which is why we worked so hard to come up with an easy way to remove it at the end of the day!  So, the next time you think about letting your makeup linger on your face, remember that:

-  You're blocking your pores

Part of evening out your skin tone means that you're working hard to make your pores invisible.  In doing so, though, you're filling them up with foundation and powder that can leave them totally clogged.  The end result?  Breakouts and bumps that make your skin look anything but healthy!

-  You might get an allergic reaction

Even the best makeup has preservatives in it, and unfortunately, those preservatives can cause an allergic reaction.  So, if you don't use makeup remover wipes on a regular basis -- and get your face REALLY clean -- you could end up with a face that itches, burns, or turns red!

-  Two layers is NOT better than one

Ready to end a long workday with some girls' night out fun?  Be sure to remove your daytime makeup before you apply a fresh face for your nighttime fun!  Simply covering up the makeup you applied early this morning with a new layer does double the damage when it comes to clogging pores and irritating skin.

Luckily, our makeup remover wipes are so easy to use that you can have a squeaky-clean face in a matter of seconds -- making it the perfect canvas for more dramatic nighttime makeup!
