That Airplane Ride Can Be Murder on Your Skin!

That Airplane Ride Can Be Murder on Your Skin!

Whether you’re headed halfway across the country to that big business meeting or down to the Caribbean for your honeymoon, your skin may feel a whole lot worse after you land!

Why?

The air inside of an airplane cabin has very little humidity in it.  In fact, the humidity level is usually between 10% and 20%, which is less than half as much as you’ll find in “normal” indoor air!

The end result?  Dry skin gets even drier.  By the time you come in for a landing, your skin will likely feel flaky, itchy, and screaming for moisture.  Naturally-oily skin does the exact opposite, though.  In order to compensate for the dryness in the air, your skin starts churning out oil like a rig in the Gulf!  So, you wind up feeling greasy, dirty, and downright icky.  And, if you suffer from skin conditions like seborrheic dermatitis or rosacea, you may discover that your plane ride makes your symptoms even worse.

Our solution?

Drink a lot of water AND use our scented towels!  After all, the water will keep your insides hydrated, while the scented towels (with all of their pre-moistened goodness) will keep your skin hydrated.  That way, you’ll be able to get an instant-pick-me-up no matter how high in the sky you may be.

If you want, you can also use our pre-moistened makeup remover wipes on longer flights.  That way, you won’t have to sit around with greasy foundation sinking further into your pores (and reacting to the super-dry air in its own way!) for hours on end.

Why not just spritz some water on your face?

Aside from potentially making your seat mates mad, spritzing water onto your face won’t combat the effects of your airline cabin.  That’s because the air is SO dry that it will suck up most of the moisture before it even makes it to your face!  Instead, if you want to REALLY give your skin some moisture, you need to physically rub it in.

Trust us… Your skin will thank you!
